Join us in rebuilding the Saski Palace, the Brühl Palace and townhouses on Królewska Street in Warsaw

Every memory counts in the process of creating something big. Do you have access to your family’s archives? Perhaps you would like to join your loved ones in going through family heirlooms to discover the fate of your ancestors? Is the past of Warsaw shown in any of the surviving photographs? Join us in creating a photo library that will help restore the Saski Palace and its adjacent buildings.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for photos showing the west side of Piłsudski Square and the buildings that no longer exist there. We've already combed the domestic and foreign archives, but it's your materials that can shed new light on the matter - every photo counts. Each photograph can show important frontage details that will help us recreate, in the most faithful manner, the pre-war appearance of Warsaw's palaces and townhouses. If you're curious about the current stage of reconstruction of the Saski Palace, please check the project’s time schedule.
